The Pheon, the Annual Journal of the Clan Davidson Association, was first published in 1992 under the editorship of Flora Davidson.
Early copies of the Journal were published in black & white, but current editions have full colour illustrations.
For 2019, we included articles about Davidson and Davison families whose ancestors originate from many parts of Scotland, England and Ireland. The stories of these early families, some of whom later migrated around the world, provide us with rich historical insights, going back as far as the 17th century.
The illustrations include many portraits, places where Davidsons lived, monumental inscriptions, medals, and Davidson related artefacts.

The Clan, its history and it’s people
Exclusively available from the Clan Davidson Association.
This book is the result of many years of research by the members of the Clan Davidson Association Historical Committee. It’s conclusions on the history of the Clan seek to eliminate misleading assertions from earlier times.
There is a detailed section on the Davidsons of Tulloch (the Chiefly line), including their predecessors and successors from Donald Davidson in the 17th century to the present day.
The book includes sections on other Scottish Davidson families, famous and infamous Davidsons, and witches, Jacobites and Davidson Borderers. Clan Davidson societies from around the world have contributed sections of the text, which includes appendices on Clan Davidson tartans, emblems and customs.
This popular book is Out of Print. It’s now available as a facsimile e-book, comprising over 200 pages with illustrations. Price £5.00.
