The Pheon

The Pheon, the Annual Journal of the Clan Davidson Association, was first published in 1992 under the editorship of Flora Davidson.

Early copies of the Journal were published in black & white, but current editions have full colour illustrations.

For 2018, we included articles about Davidsons and Davison families whose ancestors originate from different parts of Scotland, England, Wales and Ireland, and their subsequent worldwide connections.

We have also included news and illustrations of recently found examples of Davidson heraldry, portraits, bookplates, medals, monumental inscriptions, and stained glass memorials.

Collections of our Pheon publications are available in an attractive bound book format as three volumes.

The Davidsons

The Clan, its history and it’s people

Exclusively available from the Clan Davidson Association.

This book is the result of many years of research by the members of the Clan Davidson Association Historical Committee. It’s conclusions on the history of the Clan seek to eliminate misleading assertions from earlier times.

There is a detailed section on the Davidsons of Tulloch (the Chiefly line), including their predecessors and successors from Donald Davidson in the 17th century to the present day.

The book includes sections on other Scottish Davidson families, famous and infamous Davidsons, and witches, Jacobites and Davidson Borderers. Clan Davidson societies from around the world have contributed sections of the text, which includes appendices on Clan Davidson tartans, emblems and customs.

Price: £14:00. 200 page paperback book includes 16 colour and 16 black & white illustrations. (ISBN 978-0-9565488-3-2)
